Harvey (1950)

Stars James Stewart, Wallace Ford, Victoria Horne, Jesse White, Cecil Kellaway.

Directed by Henry Koster. 104 Mins.

Due to his insistence that he has an invisible six foot-tall rabbit for a best friend, a whimsical middle aged man is thought by his family to be insane. But he may be wiser that anyone knows.

From the Pulitzer Prize winning play comes this wonderful slice of cinematic brilliance! Nuances abound with Stewart firmly and decisively making this role his, adding his own touches of acting brilliance to a film that is just more than a comedy, but also possessing a very skilled and dark undercurrent with the issues of alcoholism, loneliness and rejection.  This film is a must-see!!
