An Ambulance driver on a routine call to the Tremayne mansion where a suspicious gas poisoning has occurred is ensnared by the sensuous but dangerous charms of the young lady of the household.

Fasten your seatbelts as director Preminger takes the film noir premise beyond it’s usual dark place! His fluid camera follows the calm insanity of Jean Simmons and the calm but suspenseful tale that begins with a slap and builds to an ending none of us is prepared for with Dimitri Tiomkins lush symphonic score underpinning the goings on and drawing us along on an almost dreamlike journey.

The drama on-screen pretty much matches what went on behind the scenes in the making of this memorable opus and we’ll fill you in on all the detail during our pre-film introduction! Not to be missed on the big screen with the richness of our genuine vintage cinema audio system!
